Frequently Asked Questions

How does Walkr generate routes?

Walkr uses your step goal and current location to build a roundtrip walking route that brings you back to where you started. Routes are generated via OpenRouteService.

Does Walkr sync with Apple Health?

Yes. When you complete a walk, Walkr saves a Walking workout to Apple Health, including your step count, distance, and duration. You'll be prompted for Health permissions the first time you finish a walk.

Why isn't my walk showing up in Apple Health?

Apple Health rejects workouts with zero steps. Make sure the walk registered steps before finishing. You can check step count on the Active Walk screen.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app, go to the Home screen, and tap Delete Accountat the bottom. This permanently removes your account and all associated data. Or email support@walkr.fit and we'll handle it manually.

The route doesn't match my step goal exactly — is that normal?

Yes. Roundtrip routes are approximate by nature. Walkr retries with different seeds and picks the closest match, aiming within 20% of your target distance.

Daily reminders aren't working — what should I check?

Make sure Walkr has notification permissions in iOS Settings → Walkr → Notifications. You can also re-set your reminder time from the Home screen.

Can I use Walkr without creating an account?

No — an account is required to save routes and sync your profile across devices.
